Mrs. Wood organises the I.Y.S. pen pals but ask your own languages teacher for information.
There is nothing better than receiving a letter filled with information about another country and its ways. Your ideas about foreign countries and people open up when you read about your friends’ lives, customs and opinions.

The countries from which you can choose a pen pal are too many to mention but we do encourage you to have a French or German speaking person as your first choice.

Your language skills will improve.

In addition to writing you can also exchange your own drawings, stamps, music and newspapers.

Maybe even visit your long-time pen friend.

There may also be the chance to use E-mail and even video conferencing between schools.
