General Information
about G.C.S.E's

At the end of Year 11 students sit their G.C.S.E (General Certificate in Secondary Education).  The G.C.S.E replaced the old two tier system of O'Level and C.S.E.

The examinations are graded A* - G and all these grades are valued as passes.  A* - C grades are the higher grades and they equate to the old O'level grades.

Painsley was awarded Beacon School status in 1998

Sportsmark Award from the English Sports Council

Painsley is a partner in the Moorlands Sixth Form Centre
